GPU text that does not melt under zoom

Glyph atlases, hinting, and when to give up and rasterize.

Text is the hardest 2D primitive that looks easy. At 1× it is boring. At pinch-zoom, rotation, or variable fonts, it becomes a memory and aliasing problem.
